Vampire Name Generator

I found this while searching Technorati--Fits with the books I have been reading lately. (Currently New Moon by Stephenie Meyer)

The Great Archives determine you to have gone by the identity:
Poppy Brown
Known in some parts of the world as:
Devil of The Tormented
The Great Archives Record:
A soul in torment and tumult - hell of their own making!

My own Fairy Name

Your fairy is called Feather Rainbowfrost
She is a fortune bringer.
She lives in high places where the clouds meet the earth.
She is only seen during the first snow of winter.
She wears pale blue like the sky. She has multicoloured wings like a butterfly.

Random Fortune from image generator

The decision doesn't have to be logical; it was unanimous.

( Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run )
( faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a )
( lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will )
( starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a )
( gazelle: when the sun comes up, you'd better be running. )

Rollyo vs. Google

I like the portability of Rollyo, however I could not get it to upload my bookmarks. I also like Google custom search as it was easy to cut and paste the html code.

I could see where both would be useful and one would just have to choose their preference.

Infopeople 23 things

So far I have a bloglines account and google reader going. It was not as hard to keep up with as I thought it would be. Of course it helps that most bloggers do not blog each and every day. I have not figured out how to track back from my blog to another, but it is on my list.

I have started another blog with my sister to track our AIDS Marathon training and fundraising at marathonmommas.blogspot.com .

I signed up for Twitter, on a personal level I have do not see much use for it (I actually like not being in contact with people 24/7). However, I could see using it in the library to promote events and what is happening on a daily/hourly basis.

As you can see I have been playing with the online image generators and plan on using them to add to my blog(s).

I am enjoying having a Del.icio.us account that can be accessed at whatever library I am currently subbing for.

Fastr a Flickr game

http://randomchaos.com/games/fastr/

I just spent a half hour on this site, could be addictive. You try and recognize the tag that all the pictures have in common. Sounds easy enough, right?!?

play the mini game or full and you can register and invite other people.

Tagnautica

This sight in the ten best flickr mashups reminds me a little bit of an aqua browser catalog search I did with the catalog in Kings County Washington, only I am looking for pictures!

Infopeople Web 2.0 --23 Things Challenge Numbers 1,2,3,4, and 13

Well, I decided to do this challenge as I have already taken Info Peoples Web 2.0: Searching Innovations and have this blog now, a flicker account, and a delicious account. But feel that I still have more to learn and experiment with. I have signed up for Library thing also, but have not put all my books on line yet (very few).

I start Web 2.0: Connecting with the Community using Social Software next week.

Rise and Shine by Anna Quindlen

"This is Meghan Fitzmaurice, Rise and Shine".

A phrase that Meghan used when they were kids and now uses on the morning show Rise and Shine, it seemed she was always destined for fame and celebrity. Meanwhile, Bridget is a social worker in the Bronx and has always lived in her shadow and searched for her own way. One morning, on the air, Meghan says some things not meant for the air, or were they? This incident sets both their lives in to a tail spin and though very different, the connection the sisters have between them, helps them to survive even the worst tragedies.

Great book for sisters, family and friends who always seem to fall into the same roles and could learn a little about themselves and those around them.

Highly Recommended
